Air Bakin’ LE and More at House of Hoops in the Mall at Prince Georges
This Air Bakin’ LE is back again in black/club purple/chrome, and will be available at the House of Hoops in the Mall at Prince Georges opening this weekend. The model first gained popularity in the 90’s while being worn by Tim Hardaway, and was retroed in 2007 in grey. The shoe is mostly black with shiny chrome piecing on top of the upper, above a layer of nubuck. The boot-laces, a few Swooshes, and the inside of the max air unit are purple.

Nike Trainer 1 Mid “Bo Knows” at Foot Locker in November
A new, limited, “Bo Knows” Trainer 1 Mid black/black/metallic silver will hit select Foot Locker stores as early as next week. The “Bo Knows” line featured on the tongue and insole, riffs on the Nike Cross-Training commercials from the mid 90’s featuring multi-sport star Bo Jackson “knowing” every sport from baseball to hockey. With each example the line “Bo Knows ____” would repeat.
The Trainer 1 has some other signature Bo Jackson elements including Raider’s silver and black for his former NFL squad, and a pixelated Bo Jackson baseball figure on the insole. The figure is reminiscent of the Tecmo Bo found on the Air Trainer II LE released in July of ‘09.
The upper is predominantly black with some silver piecing near the toe. There is also silver stitching encircling the Swoosh and making up the Nike logo on the heel. The midsole is grey cement, with some black elephant print around the collar. For more shots check out the Gallery.
Big Nike Low LE Black/Metallic Silver at House of Hoops 11/27
On Black Friday, 11/27, Raider Nation will be giving thanks to House of Hoops for dropping the Big Nike Low LE in Black/Metallic Silver. The shoe hits stores the day after the Oakland Raiders take on the Dallas Cowboys during the NFL’s annual Thanksgiving Classic. And although the shoe has no official ties to the Oakland Raiders, it seems as if Nike was inspired by the football team.
To start, this Big Nike LE features a black base and metallic silver detailing. The heel, toecap, and eyestay areas are composed of black canvas, while the main portion of the upper and toebox are silver covered in black mesh. The midsole is black with silver stitching and the outsole is all silver.
But perhaps a more notable nod to the Raiders is the silver shield adorning the heel in place of a traditional large-sized “NIKE.” This shoe is basic enough to be worn with anything from a Nnamdi Asomugha jersey to spiked shoulder pads and face paint (for all you members of the Black Hole).
